Vintage Fanny Kemble: A Passionate Victorian by Margaret Armstrong, published in 1938 by The Macmillan Company, New York.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The hardcover shows some edge and corner wear, with minor fraying on the bottom corners and spine ends. Cover boards have light marking and fading as shown in photographs. The interior features light tanning and foxing, especially on the first few pages. Tight binding but front inner hinge is starting to show separation. No missing or loose pages.
Dark red cloth cover with gold embossed title and decorative illustration. Spine also features gold embossed lettering and publisher's logo. Book measures approximately standard size for hardcover volumes.
Interior endpapers have a sepia illustration and a light pencil inscription on the front pastedown. Includes a black and white portrait of Fanny Kemble (from the Thomas Sully painting in the Pennsylvania Academy
