First edition (print number not stated) hardcover copy of Memories of the Cab Forwards: A Personal View by Richard E. Lohse (Southern Pacific Historical & Technical Society, 2013). Very rare memoir and history of the people, events, and railways in and around Roseville, California during the glory days of steam trains. Richly illustrated and with photographs. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with mild rubbing to faces and slight shelf wear around the edges. Small tear to bottom edge of back cover. Boards straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight though binding material is faintly visible in a few gutters. Small blemish to bottom outer edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
