A collection of works by Russian photographer Irina Rozovsky.
This book compiles lyrical portraits of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, as seen through the artist's lens. People come to this park to escape the hustle and bustle of NY.
This work is based on an idea that the author came up with about 10 years ago when she was riding a small motorboat on the south pond of this park. While drifting on the water and gazing at the tree-lined shore, the author saw a mirage of families, lovers, friends, and people of various cultures and races sharing the same place and moment.
The panoramic melting pot of America was a visible reality in this space where everyone is equal. The author's color photographs capture scenes where the city and nature intersect, presenting the park as a democratic public space that enriches people's hearts. There, the landscape and seasons provide a backdrop of "diversity" to the complex reality of society.
