The BP28 combines a large-diaphragm condenser element with a 28 mm diameter shotgun body for exceptional low-noise performance. With a highly directional pickup pattern and a patented acoustic port design that maintains directionality across the entire frequency range, this 14” shotgun microphone is specially tailored to meet the needs of broadcast, film, television, outdoors recording and theater applications. Particularly suitable for long-distance miking for film or theater, the BP28 has an exceptionally low noise floor (8 dB) and transformer-coupled outputs that produce a smooth sonic character. The microphone also provides extremely high sensitivity (-28 dBV), wide dynamic range (135 dB), and high-SPL capability (143 dB), and is equipped with a switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter and 10 dB pad.
